Turning Towards God

  Word of Faith Rom 10:8-13 Today. Is about finding truth today.
  What if you know something that could save someone´s life? What should you do about it? This something is what I know for sure, there are no maybes. Truly we need to seriously consider this message today!

   I found out something and it is true, Jesus is real! Click to read my testimony on our about page. Sometimes we do get experiences as Paul’s experience on the road to Damascus. Acts 9:3-4. Which saved his life and turned it around, I mean completely around. So much so that he went about preaching and teaching the truth no matter what others thought of him, even if is life was in jeopardy at times. Yet some people still did not believe what he was telling them. The same still goes on today. The truth is still the truth.

   Paul preached [Acts 13:38-39] what Jesus had truly done while here on earth, we need to believe that fact. We really need to be diligent and honest about finding out whether this is true or not. I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is true. That Jesus is our redeemer. Col 1:13-14;

This is an excerpt from my testimony.

"A light came on, for the first time I grasped the reality of the body and blood of Jesus, He really did that for me, died on the cross for me. He took my place."

But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach)
Rom 10:8-13

Must be Born Again

   I love my family all of them I want them to grasp a hold of this truth. Not only them but the people I meet every day. A lot of people see the born again experience as foolishness. It's only foolish to the natural man. I Cor 2:14 Friends this is the way God planned it, to be spiritually discerned. It is not foolishness it is the wisdom of God.
Do we fall into this category?
Sometimes we have a zeal for God but not grasping the truth of God's Word. Just like Paul bearing record of in Rom 10:2; Or what is said in 2 Tim 3:7; We need to pray for wisdom here. James 1:5.

   Not every Christian that says their a Christian has eternal life with Jesus. You must be a born again christian to receive eternal life to be with Jesus in heaven. Jesus as said this in John 3:1-18 and especially John 3:3; John 3:5; and John 3:7, this says, "You must be Born Again," no matter how foolish it might sound. Death is an unavoidable event but where you end up is a choice. John 3:16; Rom 6:23;

   We make the mistake of thinking we are going to heaven because we are good or doing good deeds, performance of moral or religious acts "salvation by deeds" and even belonging to a certain church or organization will help. Eph 2:8-9; Says grace is a gift, not of works. "You must be born again." Also read Titus 3:5;

   Don´t take this lightly, don´t wait to find you are already there in hell, just like the rich man we read about in scriptures. The Rich Man and Lazarus! Luke 16:19-31. I have to tell you it is too late to cry out then, just like the rich man did. Your time is now! 2 Cor 6:2. There are some who do not even bother with finding out about salvation and I have heard some say I'm going to join my friends in hell. What a tragedy.

Oh don't say!
"What do I care?" Surely you care about your soul; surely hell is worth escaping; surely heaven is worth winning; surely that cross on which our Savior died is worth considering; surely that poor soul of yours is worth caring about! Charles Spurgeon;

   It would be a shame if we went through our whole lives without finding out why Christ died for us. Search it out for you. True wisdom is finding these things out for you, not always going with the flow of the world. The word is frequently taken out of context. So check these things out that I have commented on. Job 34:3; Psalm 34:8;

    Truth  John 14:6 is the Word of God. Faith believes the Word of God. It is not to be intellectualized, as if knowing it as another book you've read, or a religious thing. We have to read the Word with our heart. It is a relationship restored to God. Regeneration; Titus 3:5;

Seat of the scornful

   Don't sit in the seat of the scornful about the Word of Faith. Rom 10:8.
What is the seat of the scornful? Psa 1:1; Prov 21:24;
   There are some who speak against faith (the faith movement critics) and the born again Christian, mocking and sounding very scornful. Expressing extreme contempt: That is not wise before God. Trying to make everyone listen to their opinions, as if no one is able to discern for themselves. Do a study on faith for yourself because it's not about them, it's about you.

[ The Unpardonable Sin ]

“Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. Mark 3:28-30; Matthew 12:31-32;

   There are those that are really speaking the Truth. Don´t lump everyone together. I really have to emphasize Know God for yourself. Do not let anything deter you. Reading what the Word says in 1 John 4:1-6 explains. Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers, what they say has to line up with the Word of God.

"Don´t let the troubles of this life and the misdeeds of others influence your faith. Do not reject God when you see others misrepresent Him and live a life of hypocrisy in His precious name."
A quote from Alex G Austins book: Forever Changed Forever Loved:

He Is No Fool:Jim Elliot

Is wealth all about money?

   Not all evangelists and preachers are shysters. If it is your money you are concerned about then keep it. Did Jesus come for you or your money! Yes, scripture says to those who preach the gospel that they should live from the gospel 1 Cor 9:14. Not to preach, to build your kingdom but Gods.

   Prosperity often encompasses money but also includes other factors which are independent of money to varying degrees, such as happiness and health, 3 John 1:2 (prosper in all things) so ask God for wisdom here about your money. Keep in mind that giving is a part of worship, not just blessing the recipient but also the giver. Sowing and reaping. 2 Cor 9:6; Wealth is the Bible, Grace, Faith, Mercy, Forgiveness, finding and believing the truth of God's Word.
Your wealth does not belong in your wallet... It abides in your heart! Mat 6:21; We need to be rich toward God and not be like the man Jesus is talking about in this verse. Luke 12:21; To put in context read Luke 12:13-21; In 1 Timothy 6:10; it says the love of money is the root of all evil and not money is the root of all evil.

We do the measuring

   There are three times the scripture uses the term, with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
1st. We read In Mat 7:2, Judgment.
2nd. in Mark 4:24-25 Knowledge.
3rd. in Luke 6:38, Giving.
   After reading those scriptures, we cannot leave these out Mat 13:10-17; and this says again spiritual abundance, knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Also Matt 25:14-30;
   Don,t hide your light Mark 4:21-25; Luke 8:16-18; Share and more understanding will be given.

   When what is said in 2 Cor 9:7. God loves a cheerful giver. this is not only of money, but a giver of his time, a giver of his ability, a giver of his knowledge and wisdom. E W Kenyon tells us the same thing in his book Advanced Bible Course. Really a good book worth a read. Books When we do these things are we not loving our neighbor as our self and for the right reason not of works to prove to God that your worthy of salvation. Eph 2:8-9; We become a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. James 1:22;

   In 2 Cor 9:6-8; this is talking about a spiritual law of action and reaction and the rules for giving and I know we do not like rules but the purpose is that we are to have our abundance for every good work. And in 2 Cor 9:8 this really explains and allows God to work for us. It is not just to get rich; it is our motive we are talking about (Love) of God and neighbor, we cannot leave judgment and knowledge out, or Mark 12:31; ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ And is this not what God requires of us? Matthew 7:12; We do the measuring. Mark 12:30-31 there is no other commandment greater than these.

   What would the hypocrisy be? Those that are professing faith as a means of wealth only by money! Even if the doctrine, give to get your riches or name it claim it to get your mansion or luxury cars and jewels is preached it should not stop us from seeking the truth! We need to look at the proper motive for wealth and giving. Mat 6:24; 2 Co 2:17; also look at 1 Tim 6:5-10; Mat 6:3-4; Prov 19:17;

Here are some scriptures to ponder for the true cost of discipleship. Luke 9:57-62;

Jesus had a definition for greed. He called it the practice of measuring life by possessions.
Life is not measured by how much one owns. Luke 12:15. Hebrews 13:5;

Greed equates a person's worth with a person's wallet.
1. You got a lot = you are a lot.
2. You got a little = you are a little.

Here is a motive for leaders to watch out for.
   It is a terrible temptation to honour and show favour to church members when they heap cash on the collection plate week after week. It is so tempting to want to make them a leader, a deacon, a teacher, an elder or whatever they want to be just to keep them happy and contributing. James 2:1-4 is a scripture to reference.

Ask Seek Knock

   I have found the Word of God true. Seek it out; Mat 7:7-8 search it out for you. It is a Living Word, Heb 4:12 still relevant today, fills a void in our life and with a fulfillment that we need. The scripture is really telling us in Hebrews 11:6; Here is a promise you can rely on 1John 5:14-15;

"God rewards those who seek Him. Not those who seek doctrine or religion or systems or creeds." Max Lucado: Search

My tongue and its fruit

   The Word says I'm justified by my words or condemned by my words. So I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth. So a scripture like reaping what you sow Gal 6:7; and Matthew 15:11; come to mind. The Word of God is a seed and my words are seeds, so what am I planting. Proverbs 18:20-21 says Death and Life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it. And also in Jer 32:19; and Jer 17:10; we read about the fruit of our doings. So really the fruit we need in our life is found in Galatians 5:22-23;

    The Christian attitude is not to reject or hold in disdain but love God and your neighbor as yourself, Luke 10:27; Really we should share and in love when opportunity comes to share the Good News.
   Rom 6:23; says for the wages of sin is death, but the next part of this verse says, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This is what we need to know today! 2 Peter 3:9;

[The Essence of the Law]
What does the Lord your God require of you? Deut 10:12-14; and in verse Deut 10:13 it tells us it is for our good. Micah 6:8 puts forth the same question.
And Jesus tells us the same thing in Mark 12:29-31; and there are two very important things in verse Mark 12:31 to notice. And we really can't leave the golden rule out in Mat 7:12.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal 3:24;
But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Gal 3:25;

Jesus is always there to forgive anyone who offers true repentance.
